Annapurna Base Camp Trek-7 Days
Overview
The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek is one of the most popular trekking adventures in Nepal. It’s a fun and exciting journey that takes you through beautiful mountain villages, lush forests, and up close to some of the tallest mountains in the world. This trek is perfect for people who love nature, enjoy walking, and want to see amazing mountain views.
What Makes It Special?
The trek is special because it leads to the heart of the Annapurna mountain range. When you reach Annapurna Base Camp, you’ll be standing in a circle of giant mountains, including Annapurna I, which is over 8,000 meters tall. The view is so stunning that it feels like you’re in a magical place.
Along the way, you’ll pass through charming villages where the Gurung and Magar people live. These are kind and friendly locals who will greet you with warm smiles and sometimes a cup of tea. You’ll also walk through rhododendron forests, which are especially beautiful in spring when the flowers bloom in bright colors
How Long Does It Take?
The trek usually takes about 7 to 11 days, depending on how fast you want to go and how much time you have. Most people start their journey in a town called Pokhara. From there, you drive to a starting point like Nayapul or Ghandruk, and the real adventure begins!
What Will You See?
The trek is full of surprises. You’ll see waterfalls, terraced farms, and rivers with crystal-clear water. In the mornings, you’ll wake up to views of snowy mountains glowing in the sunrise. At night, the stars shine brighter than you’ve ever seen.
One of the most amazing places you’ll visit is Machhapuchhre Base Camp. Machhapuchhre, also called “Fishtail Mountain,” is sacred to the local people. From here, it’s a short walk to Annapurna Base Camp, where the views are even more breathtaking.
What About Food and Sleeping?
During the trek, you’ll stay in cozy teahouses. These are small lodges run by local families. They provide basic but comfortable rooms and simple meals like rice, noodles, soup, and even pancakes! The food gives you the energy you need to keep going.
Is It Difficult?
The ABC trek is considered moderate. You don’t need to be a super athlete, but you should be ready to walk 4 to 6 hours a day. The trails can be steep in some places, so it’s good to take your time and rest when you need to.
Why Should You Go?
The Annapurna Base Camp trek is not just about walking; it’s about experiencing nature, meeting wonderful people, and feeling proud of yourself for reaching the base camp. It’s a trip you’ll never forget!
So, if you’re looking for an adventure filled with beauty, culture, and a little bit of challenge, the Annapurna Base Camp trek is waiting for you!

In the evening, we’ll have a short briefing about the trek and answer any questions you have. This is your first day to soak in the Nepali vibe, get comfortable, and prepare for the adventure ahead. Rest well because the real journey starts tomorrow!
Your adventure begins with a short and scenic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. The flight takes about 25 minutes and offers stunning views of the mountains. Once in Pokhara, we’ll drive for 2 hours to Jhinu New Bridge, where the trek begins.
The trail starts with a mix of ups and downs as you walk through green hills, small villages, and beautiful terraced fields. You’ll cross suspension bridges and hear the sound of rivers rushing below.
After about 2 hours of trekking, you’ll reach Chhomrong, a charming village surrounded by mountains. This is a perfect place to rest for the night. From here, you can enjoy amazing views of Annapurna South and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail Mountain).
In the evening, relax at the teahouse, enjoy a warm meal, and soak in the peaceful mountain atmosphere. Tomorrow, the real adventure into the Annapurna Sanctuary begins!
Today is a big trekking day, so get ready for an adventure! After a hearty breakfast, we leave the lovely village of Chhomrong and head deeper into the mountains.
The trail starts with a steep descent down stone steps to the Chhomrong Khola (river). After crossing a suspension bridge, the path climbs uphill through forests of bamboo, rhododendrons, and oak trees. The sound of birds chirping and rivers flowing makes the journey peaceful and exciting.
You’ll pass by small settlements like Sinuwa and Bamboo, where you can take breaks, enjoy a snack, and catch your breath. The higher you go, the cooler the air feels, and the scenery becomes even more magical.
After 5–6 hours of walking, we reach the quiet village of Himalaya, surrounded by towering green hills and misty clouds. Here, you’ll rest in a cozy teahouse, enjoy a warm meal, and prepare for tomorrow’s trek.
Today is the most exciting day of the trek because you’ll reach Annapurna Base Camp (ABC)! After breakfast, we begin our journey uphill. The trail passes through Deurali, and the air gets cooler as we climb higher.
As you walk, the scenery changes. The lush green forests give way to rocky paths and stunning views of snowy peaks. You’ll pass Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC), a great spot to take a short break and enjoy the views of the sacred Fishtail Mountain.
From MBC, it’s a gentle but steady climb to ABC. When you arrive at 4,130 meters, you’ll feel like you’ve entered a magical world. You’re surrounded by towering mountains, including Annapurna I, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre.
Take time to soak in the breathtaking views, snap photos, and celebrate your achievement. Tonight, you’ll sleep at ABC, feeling proud and inspired by the beauty around you.
It’s time to say goodbye to the magical Annapurna Base Camp. After enjoying a final morning view of the majestic mountains, we start trekking downhill. The journey back takes you through the same beautiful trail, but the views feel different as you head lower.
You’ll pass by Machhapuchhre Base Camp and continue down to Deurali, Bamboo, and finally Lower Sinuwa. Along the way, enjoy the peaceful sound of rivers and the cool shade of the forest. Walking downhill is easier, but it’s still important to take it slow to protect your knees.
At Lower Sinuwa, you’ll check into a cozy teahouse for the night. Relax your legs and enjoy a warm, hearty meal. The village is surrounded by greenery, making it a perfect spot to rest after the long day. Sleep well, knowing you’re on your way to completing this amazing trek!
Today is a short but enjoyable day! After breakfast, we start trekking downhill from Sinuwa to Jhinu. The trail takes about 2–3 hours and is mostly an easy walk through forests and small villages. You’ll cross some stone steps and suspension bridges, soaking in the last bits of the beautiful mountain scenery.
When you reach Jhinu, you’ll have time to visit the famous hot springs nearby. It’s a perfect way to relax your tired muscles in the warm, soothing water. After that, we’ll hop into a vehicle for the drive back to Pokhara, which takes about 2 hours.
Back in Pokhara, you can check into your hotel, take a shower, and enjoy the lively lakeside area. Celebrate your trek with a delicious meal or just relax by the serene Phewa Lake. It’s a wonderful way to end your mountain adventure!
This is the final day of your Annapurna Base Camp adventure! After breakfast, we’ll board a comfortable tourist bus for the journey back to Kathmandu. The drive takes about 6–7 hours, passing through scenic landscapes of green hills, rivers, and small villages.

I had the incredible opportunity to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to Everest Base Camp, and I cannot express enough how amazing the experience was, thanks to Bhoj, and the entire tour service. From start to finish, Bhoj went above and beyond to ensure my trip was safe, comfortable, and unforgettable.
Bhoj took care of every detail, from the moment I arrived in Kathmandu until I returned after completing the trek. His attention to my needs was exceptional—he arranged guest houses, meals, and even helped me get a local SIM card so I could stay connected with my friends and family throughout the journey, even at the highest points of the trek. His thoughtfulness and dedication made me feel supported and cared for every step of the way.
The porter Bhoj arranged for me was equally incredible—strong, reliable, and always ready to assist. His strength and hard work made the trek significantly easier for me, allowing me to focus on enjoying the breathtaking views and the journey itself. Together, Bhoj and the porter made an unbeatable team, and I couldn’t have asked for better companions on this adventure.
Thanks to Bhoj’s expertise, professionalism, and kindness, I was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of reaching Everest Base Camp. He truly made my bucket list dream come true, and I am forever grateful for his guidance and support.
