What’s Special About This Trek?

This trek is all about the stunning views! You’ll get to see Mount Everest, Kongde, Thamsherku, Ama Dablam, Lhotse, Tabuche, and many other big mountains from up close. The trail takes you through the beautiful Khumbu region, where you’ll walk among green hills, rhododendron forests, and charming villages.

On the way, you’ll visit Namche Bazaar, the busiest village in the Everest region. It’s a colorful place full of shops, bakeries, and happy trekkers. You’ll stay there for two nights to let your body adjust to the altitude. During this time, you can explore nearby viewpoints or visit the local Sherpa museum.

The highlight of the trek is a visit to Tengboche, home to a famous Buddhist monastery. Here, you’ll see Mount Everest shining in the morning sun, a view you’ll never forget!

After enjoying the mountain scenery, you’ll walk back to Lukla, stopping at cozy villages along the way. Then it’s another flight back to Kathmandu, where your trek ends.

What’s the Trek Like?

The trek is about walking 4-6 hours daily, but the pace is relaxed, and there’s plenty of time to rest and enjoy the views. You’ll sleep in simple but comfy teahouses, where you can try local food and meet fellow trekkers.

This trek is best during spring or autumn when the skies are clear, and the weather is pleasant. However, you can do it almost any time of the year with proper planning.

Why Should You Choose This Trek?

If you want to experience the magic of Everest but don’t have much time or trekking experience, this is the perfect adventure for you. You’ll enjoy incredible scenery, friendly locals, and a memorable Himalayan journey—all in just nine days!

The Everest View Panorama Trek is a short but amazing trekking adventure that lets you enjoy the stunning views of Mount Everest and other beautiful Himalayan peaks. Over 9 days, you’ll walk through Sherpa villages, see incredible landscapes, and visit famous places like Tengboche Monastery and Namche Bazaar. It’s a great trek for those who want to experience the beauty of the Himalayas without going to Everest Base Camp.

Yes, the Everest View Panorama Trek is perfect for beginners or people who want a shorter trek. The route is not too difficult, but it still offers beautiful views and a chance to experience the Himalayas. The trek does involve some uphill sections, but with regular breaks and a steady pace, it is manageable for most people who are in good health.

The trek is moderate in difficulty. While it is not as tough as some longer treks, it does require some effort. You’ll be walking for 3-8 hours each day on well-maintained trails, with some steep uphill sections. It’s important to be physically prepared and take your time while trekking to avoid exhaustion. Acclimatization days are included to help your body adjust to the altitude.

The best times to go on the Everest View Panorama Trek are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). During these months, the weather is clear and the temperatures are mild, making it perfect for trekking. The views of the mountains are stunning, and the trails are not as crowded as in the peak tourist season.

While you don’t need to be a professional athlete, it’s helpful to be in good physical shape. You should be able to walk for several hours each day on a variety of terrain, including uphill and downhill sections. Regular exercise, like walking or hiking, before the trek will help you feel more prepared. It’s also important to stay hydrated and take it slow, especially as you gain altitude.

The highest point on the trek is Hotel Everest View, located at 3,880 meters (12,730 feet). This is a great spot for panoramic views of Mount Everest and other peaks. The trek doesn’t go higher than this, so it’s a lower-altitude trek compared to Everest Base Camp, making it safer for most trekkers. However, you will still need to be careful about altitude sickness, which is why acclimatization days are built into the trek.

During the trek, you will stay in guesthouses or tea houses in the villages along the trail. These guesthouses offer basic but comfortable rooms with cozy beds. The rooms are often shared with other trekkers, but they are warm and welcoming. You’ll get delicious local food and drinks to keep you energized for your daily walks. Remember, these guesthouses are in remote areas, so the facilities may not be as luxurious as those in cities, but they offer a great cultural experience.

The food during the trek is simple but tasty, with a variety of options. You’ll find Dal Bhat (lentil soup with rice), vegetable dishes, noodles, and fried rice on the menu. These meals give you plenty of energy for the long trekking days. You can also enjoy snacks like cookies, chocolate bars, and tea to keep you going. If you have specific dietary requirements (like vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free), let us know in advance, and we’ll try to accommodate you as much as possible.

For the Everest View Panorama Trek, you will need to pack light but smart. Here are some essentials:

  • Warm clothing: Even though it’s not as cold as higher treks, temperatures can drop in the mountains, especially at night.
  • Comfortable trekking boots: Good shoes are important for walking on uneven terrain.
Daypack: A small bag to carry your water, snacks, camera, and personal items during the trek.
  • Water bottle: Staying hydrated is key.
Sunscreen and sunglasses: Protect yourself from the sun’s strong rays at higher altitudes.
A camera: To capture the amazing mountain views.
  • A sleeping bag (optional): If you prefer your own sleeping bag, you can bring it, though the guesthouses provide bedding.

A full packing list will be provided once you book the trek, so you’ll know exactly what to bring.

Your health and safety are very important. Before the trek, you’ll have a safety briefing where we explain the risks of altitude sickness and how to avoid it. The trek is designed with acclimatization days to help prevent altitude sickness, but if you feel unwell, you should let your guide know right away. The guides are trained in basic first aid and will help you. If needed, emergency evacuation options are available.
Trekking insurance is highly recommended, as it can cover medical expenses and evacuation costs. Always carry a basic medical kit with you, and be sure to follow your guide’s instructions.

The trek starts with a 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Lukla has a small airport that is famous for its adventurous landing and takeoff. The flight gives you an incredible aerial view of the Himalayas. Alternatively, you can also drive to Ramechhap, which takes about 5-6 hours, and then take a 20-minute flight to Lukla. The flight schedules can sometimes be affected by weather, so it’s always a good idea to have some flexibility in your plans.

The group size for the Everest View Panorama Trek can vary, but typically there are around 4 to 12 trekkers in a group. This size allows for a personal and enjoyable experience with the group and guides. If you are traveling solo or with friends, you can join an existing group, or we can arrange a private trek for you.

Yes, for safety and a better experience, a guide is required. They will help with navigation, share knowledge about the culture, and ensure your safety. Guides are experienced in the region and can provide useful information about the mountains, villages, and local customs. A porter is also available to carry your main luggage, allowing you to enjoy the trek without worrying about heavy bags. You can hire a porter directly through the trekking company.

In larger towns like Namche Bazaar, you can find internet cafes and some guesthouses may offer Wi-Fi. However, the internet can be slow and expensive. As you go higher up the trail, internet and phone signal become less reliable. It’s a good idea to inform family or friends about your travel plans before you leave, and enjoy the time away from screens!

If you feel like you’re struggling to continue the trek, let your guide know right away. Guides are trained to assess your health and well-being, and they will help you decide if you need to stop or turn back. If necessary, there are ways to evacuate you to a lower altitude or to the nearest hospital. The trek is designed to be manageable for most people, but your health always comes first.

Yes, you can extend your trip after completing the Everest View Panorama Trek. Kathmandu offers a lot to explore, including cultural sites like the Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Patan Durbar Square. You can also visit other parts of Nepal or take part in activities like white-water rafting or jungles safaris in Chitwan National Park. Let your tour operator know, and they can help plan your extended stay.

Yes, travel insurance is highly recommended. It should cover medical emergencies, evacuation costs, and lost luggage. Make sure it includes coverage for trekking at high altitudes. While the trek is safe, it’s always better to be prepared for any unexpected situations.

I had the incredible opportunity to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to Everest Base Camp, and I cannot express enough how amazing the experience was, thanks to Bhoj, and the entire tour service. From start to finish, Bhoj went above and beyond to ensure my trip was safe, comfortable, and unforgettable.

Bhoj took care of every detail, from the moment I arrived in Kathmandu until I returned after completing the trek. His attention to my needs was exceptional—he arranged guest houses, meals, and even helped me get a local SIM card so I could stay connected with my friends and family throughout the journey, even at the highest points of the trek. His thoughtfulness and dedication made me feel supported and cared for every step of the way.

The porter Bhoj arranged for me was equally incredible—strong, reliable, and always ready to assist. His strength and hard work made the trek significantly easier for me, allowing me to focus on enjoying the breathtaking views and the journey itself. Together, Bhoj and the porter made an unbeatable team, and I couldn’t have asked for better companions on this adventure.

Thanks to Bhoj’s expertise, professionalism, and kindness, I was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of reaching Everest Base Camp. He truly made my bucket list dream come true, and I am forever grateful for his guidance and support.
