Everest Base Camp Trek – 14 Days

Welcome to Kathmandu! As soon as you land at Tribhuvan International Airport, our friendly team will be there to greet you with warm smiles. We’ll help you with your luggage and take you to your hotel in the heart of the city.

Once you check in and get settled, you can take some time to relax after your journey. If you feel up to it, you can explore the nearby streets of Thamel, a lively area full of shops, cafes, and colorful markets.

In the evening, we’ll have a short briefing about your trek. You’ll meet your guide and get all the details about the days ahead. This is also a great chance to ask any questions.

Enjoy your first night in Kathmandu, soaking in the excitement of the adventure that’s about to begin!

Your adventure begins today with an exciting early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. The 30-minute flight offers stunning views of the mountains and is an experience on its own! Once you land at Lukla, you’ll meet your trekking team and get ready to start your hike.

From Lukla, the trail gently descends as you walk through small villages, green hills, and beautiful scenery. The path is well-marked and filled with cheerful locals, prayer wheels, and fluttering prayer flags.

After about 3–4 hours of trekking, you’ll reach Phakding, a charming village by the Dudh Koshi River. Here, you’ll check into a cozy teahouse where you can rest and enjoy a warm meal.

This day is perfect for getting used to the altitude and enjoying the fresh mountain air. It’s a great start to your Everest Base Camp journey!

Today is an exciting but challenging day as you trek to Namche Bazaar, the main hub of the Everest region. After breakfast in Phakding, you’ll follow the trail along the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges decorated with colorful prayer flags.

The path takes you through lush pine forests and small villages where you can see local people going about their daily lives. Along the way, you’ll enter Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and get your trekking permits checked.

As you climb higher, the trail gets steeper, but the views of mountains like Thamserku and Kusum Kanguru make it all worthwhile. After about 6–7 hours of hiking, you’ll arrive at Namche Bazaar, a vibrant town nestled on a mountainside.

Here, you’ll rest at a cozy teahouse and enjoy your evening exploring the shops, cafes, and bakeries in this lively mountain town.

Today is an important rest day for your body to get used to the higher altitude. While you’re not hiking to Everest Base Camp yet, it’s a chance to relax and explore Namche Bazaar.

In the morning, you can take a short walk to help your body adjust. One popular hike is to the Everest View Hotel, which offers amazing views of Mount Everest, Lhotse, and other tall peaks. This hike is not too difficult and will help you get used to the altitude.

You can also explore Namche Bazaar, a lively town full of shops, cafes, and markets. It’s a great place to buy souvenirs or try some local treats.

Make sure to rest and drink plenty of water today. Acclimatization is key to feeling good for the days ahead on your trek. You’ll sleep well tonight, ready for the adventure tomorrow!

Today, you’ll continue your journey higher into the mountains as you trek to Tengboche. After a good breakfast in Namche Bazaar, you’ll start your hike, following a trail that goes up and down through pine forests. As you walk, you’ll pass through small villages and have stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.

The trail today is a bit more challenging with some steep sections, but the views make it all worth it! You’ll see beautiful landscapes and might even spot some wildlife, like colorful pheasants or Himalayan tahr (a type of mountain goat).

After about 5–6 hours of trekking, you’ll arrive in Tengboche. This village is home to the famous Tengboche Monastery, where you can visit and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.

You’ll stay in a cozy teahouse tonight, enjoy a warm meal, and rest, ready for another day of adventure tomorrow.

Today’s trek will take you from the peaceful village of Tengboche to Dingboche, which is at a higher altitude. After breakfast, you’ll begin your hike, walking through a beautiful forest of rhododendron and pine trees. As you climb higher, the views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam will get even more amazing.

The trail is mostly uphill, with a few sections that are steeper, but don’t worry—the breathtaking scenery will keep you motivated. Along the way, you might pass yak caravans carrying supplies up to higher villages.

After about 5-6 hours of trekking, you’ll reach Dingboche, a small, quiet village surrounded by mountains. This is another important acclimatization stop to help your body adjust to the higher altitude. You’ll rest in a teahouse and enjoy some local food while taking in the incredible views of the Himalayas.

Today is a rest day to help your body get used to the higher altitude before you continue your trek. It’s important to give yourself time to adjust, so we won’t be trekking far.

In the morning, you can take a short hike up to a nearby hill for some great views of the surrounding mountains, including the beautiful Ama Dablam. This short walk will help your body acclimate to the altitude without too much strain.

You’ll have the rest of the day to relax in Dingboche. The village is small but has a few cafes where you can enjoy a warm drink and chat with other trekkers. You can also visit the local monastery or just take it easy, reading a book or resting in the teahouse.

This day is all about resting, staying hydrated, and getting ready for the next stage of your Everest adventure!

Today, you’ll continue your adventure by trekking to Lobuche, a small village high up in the mountains. After breakfast, you’ll start your hike through a beautiful landscape of alpine meadows and rocky trails. The air will feel thinner as you go higher, so it’s important to take it slow and rest when needed.

Along the way, you’ll pass through the village of Pheriche, which has some small teahouses and beautiful views of the mountains. As you get closer to Lobuche, the scenery becomes more dramatic, with views of glaciers and tall peaks like Nuptse and Pumori.

The trek today will take around 5-6 hours, so you’ll be tired but excited when you reach Lobuche. Here, you can rest in a cozy teahouse, enjoy a warm meal, and take in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. This is one step closer to reaching Everest Base Camp!

Today is a very special day because you will reach Everest Base Camp! After an early breakfast in Lobuche, you’ll begin the trek to Gorak Shep. The trail will be rocky and windy, but the views of Everest and other tall mountains will keep you going. This part of the trek will take about 3–4 hours.

Once you arrive in Gorak Shep, you’ll take a short break, have lunch, and prepare for the final stretch to Everest Base Camp. The hike to Base Camp will take another 2–3 hours. When you reach the camp, you’ll feel incredibly proud to be standing at the foot of the world’s highest mountain! You’ll have some time to take photos, enjoy the views, and soak in the achievement.

After visiting Base Camp, you’ll return to Gorak Shep to rest, where you’ll spend the night. It’s a big day, but worth every step!

Today is an early start because you’ll be trekking to Kala Patthar, one of the best viewpoints for seeing Mount Everest up close. After breakfast in Gorak Shep, you’ll begin the climb to Kala Patthar, which takes about 2–3 hours. The trail is steep, but once you reach the top, you’ll be rewarded with stunning views of Everest, Lhotse, and other huge mountains. It’s a perfect spot for photos and to feel the greatness of the Himalayas.

After spending some time at Kala Patthar, you’ll head back down the trail to Gorak Shep and then continue trekking to Pheriche, a peaceful village at a lower altitude. This part of the trek will take about 4–5 hours.

Once you reach Pheriche, you can relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. It’s a great place to rest after a big day, with amazing mountain views and a quiet atmosphere.

Today, you’ll trek back down to Namche Bazaar. After breakfast in Pheriche, you’ll start your hike, going downhill through a beautiful valley. The trail will be a mix of gentle descents and some uphill sections. As you walk, you’ll pass through forests of pine and juniper trees, and you might see some wildlife along the way.

The trek to Namche will take around 5–6 hours, so it’s a good day to take it slow and enjoy the views. As you get closer to Namche, you’ll begin to see familiar sights and feel excited to be back in this lively mountain town.

Once you arrive in Namche, you can relax in a cozy teahouse, enjoy a warm meal, and share stories with other trekkers. It’s a nice feeling to be back in Namche after your adventure to Everest Base Camp.

Today is the final day of your trek! After breakfast in Namche Bazaar, you’ll start your journey back to Lukla. The trail today will be mostly downhill, and it will take about 6–7 hours to reach Lukla. As you walk, you’ll pass through beautiful forests, cross suspension bridges, and enjoy the peaceful mountain scenery one last time.

You might feel tired after all the trekking, but there’s also excitement knowing you’re almost at the end of your adventure. Once you arrive in Lukla, you can celebrate with your trekking team and enjoy a warm meal.

Tonight, you’ll spend your last night in the mountains at a teahouse in Lukla. You’ll reflect on the incredible journey you’ve had, from reaching Everest Base Camp to experiencing the beauty of the Himalayas. Tomorrow, you’ll fly back to Kathmandu, taking with you memories that will last a lifetime!

Today, you’ll say goodbye to the mountains and fly back to Kathmandu. After breakfast in Lukla, you’ll head to the small Lukla airport to catch your flight back. The flight is exciting because you’ll fly over the beautiful hills and valleys, and you might even get one last glimpse of Everest from the plane.

The flight usually takes around 30–40 minutes, and once you land in Kathmandu, you’ll be back in the busy city, full of energy and adventure. After you arrive at the airport, you’ll be transferred to your hotel to relax and unwind.

This is a day to reflect on your amazing journey to Everest Base Camp. You’ve made unforgettable memories, seen incredible sights, and accomplished something truly special. You can spend the rest of the day exploring Kathmandu or shopping for souvenirs to remind you of your adventure in the Himalayas!

Today is the last day of your Everest Base Camp adventure. After breakfast in Kathmandu, you’ll have some free time to pack your bags and get ready to leave. You might want to do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs or simply relax before your flight.

Once you’re ready, you’ll be transferred to the airport to catch your flight home. As you sit on the plane, you’ll think back to all the amazing memories from your trek—the stunning views, the friendly people, and the feeling of standing at Everest Base Camp.

Even though your journey is ending, the memories you’ve made will stay with you forever. You’ve completed a huge adventure and experienced something special that not many people get to do. Safe travels back to your home country, and remember, the mountains will always be there, waiting for your next adventure!
