The Pikey Peak Trek is a beautiful and less-crowded adventure in the lower Everest region of Nepal. It’s perfect for people who want to enjoy stunning mountain views without going too high or spending too much time trekking. The trek is named after Pikey Peak, a hill famous for its sunrise and sunset views of the Himalayas.

From Pikey Peak, you can see a panoramic view of the world’s tallest mountains, including Mount Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, and even Annapurna. The sight is breathtaking, especially when the golden sunlight touches the snowy peaks. You also get to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and quiet trails, making it a perfect trek for those who love nature.

This trek isn’t just about the mountains. It’s also a chance to experience local Sherpa culture. Along the way, you’ll visit small villages, monasteries, and stupas. The trek usually takes 6-8 days, depending on how much time you have. It’s not very hard, so it’s a good choice for beginners and families too. The highest point is Pikey Peak itself, which is 4,065 meters (13,336 feet) high. Since the trek doesn’t go too high, the chances of altitude sickness are lower.

The trails go through lush forests of rhododendrons, pine, and oak, especially beautiful in the spring when flowers bloom. You’ll also cross grassy hills, small streams, and open landscapes where yaks graze. Every step feels like a walk through a postcard!

Teahouses along the route offer simple but cozy places to stay. You can try local Sherpa food, like dal bhat (rice and lentils) and warm soups, which are great after a day of walking.

Overall, the Pikey Peak Trek is a mix of adventure, culture, and nature. It’s a great choice if you want an unforgettable experience in the Himalayas without the crowds. Whether you’re a first-time trekker or someone looking for a peaceful escape, this trek has something special for everyone.

I had the incredible opportunity to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to Everest Base Camp, and I cannot express enough how amazing the experience was, thanks to Bhoj, and the entire tour service. From start to finish, Bhoj went above and beyond to ensure my trip was safe, comfortable, and unforgettable.

Bhoj took care of every detail, from the moment I arrived in Kathmandu until I returned after completing the trek. His attention to my needs was exceptional—he arranged guest houses, meals, and even helped me get a local SIM card so I could stay connected with my friends and family throughout the journey, even at the highest points of the trek. His thoughtfulness and dedication made me feel supported and cared for every step of the way.

The porter Bhoj arranged for me was equally incredible—strong, reliable, and always ready to assist. His strength and hard work made the trek significantly easier for me, allowing me to focus on enjoying the breathtaking views and the journey itself. Together, Bhoj and the porter made an unbeatable team, and I couldn’t have asked for better companions on this adventure.

Thanks to Bhoj’s expertise, professionalism, and kindness, I was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of reaching Everest Base Camp. He truly made my bucket list dream come true, and I am forever grateful for his guidance and support. If you’re planning a trek to Everest Base Camp, I cannot recommend Bhoj and this tour service enough. They are simply the best, and I would not hesitate to travel with them again.
